Montenegro is a hidden gem on the edge of Europe, bordering Croatia, and brimming with untouched natural beauty. This breathtaking destination offers everything you could dream of—majestic mountains, vast lakes, pristine beaches, secluded coves, and a rich cultural heritage. Your accommodation is a beautifully restored villa on the Luštica peninsula, nestled in a remote and tranquil setting, surrounded by rolling olive groves and unspoiled nature. Here, you’ll wake up to absolute serenity. A scenic 2km walk leads to the nearest beach, while the picturesque fishing village of Rose is just a 15-minute drive away, offering a taste of Montenegro’s authentic coastal charm.

Prepare for a Perfect Balance of Relaxation and Adventure in Montenegro

We’ve carefully designed an itinerary that showcases the very best of the local area, ensuring an unforgettable experience. Your retreat includes a scenic boat trip, where you’ll explore the Blue Cave, the Lustica Peninsula, cruising around the infamous Kotor Fjord, with stunning views surrounding you 360 degrees. Another highlight is a guided hike through Lovćen National Park, offering breathtaking views and a chance to immerse yourself in Montenegro’s stunning natural landscapes. You’ll also enjoy a day trip to Kotor, where you can wander its medieval streets, follow the legendary Kotor Ladder trail to a spectacular viewpoint over the bay, and explore the ancient Kotor Fortress. Relax on the beaches of Mirista or Žanjice for a more leisurely day, a picturesque 2km walk from the villa. If you’re feeling adventurous, hire an e-bike and explore the charming villages and rolling landscapes of the Luštica peninsula.

Wellness Time

In between your activities, unwind in the villa’s tranquil spots, take a refreshing dip in the pool, or simply soak up the peaceful surroundings. For the ultimate relaxation, a spa just 15 minutes drive away offers rejuvenating massages, perfect for easing any post-hike tension. Being so close to the beach, you can also choose to have long relaxing days in the sun, and enjoy reading a book and swimming in the Adriatic Sea.

Delicious nutritious dinners outside on the terrace under the stars

Feel invigorated by nature, hikes, swims and yoga, having met new friends and shared many happy memories. The yoga will be in the garden shala and dinners will be inside or outside on the terrace under the stars. We work with our chefs at our Montenegro yoga retreat venue so that the food will be vegetarian, plant-based, creative, and healthy.

During your 7-night yoga retreat in Montenegro, your accommodation offers a choice of single, double, and twin rooms, along with plenty of relaxed communal spaces. All yoga equipment is provided on this adventure.

Our venue partner is a beautifully restored villa on the Luštica peninsula, at the sea entrance to Montenegro’s breathtaking Boka Bay, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in the Adriatic. This stunning venue blends authentic restoration with modern comforts, offering spacious, ambient interiors, lush gardens, and a swimming pool. Delicately poised within mountains, a 2km incline/decline walk from the coast, the untouched nature of the villa is a sanctuary for relaxation, where birdsong and the gentle hum of bees create a peaceful retreat. The owner of the villa is Serbian, meaning the style and furniture is of Serbian/Montengran style. It is comfortable and clean, each room has air conditioning and mosquito nets on the windows. We have a choice of double, single or twin room options, or if you are a group of 3 friends we can also offer a triple room.

Double Occupancy Option: Our largest master double bedroom has a beautiful vaulted stone ceiling and king size. This bedroom has an ensuite bathroom and has a view onto the garden. This room is ideal for a couple or two friends and has a small sofa bed connected to it if you would prefer to sleep separately (or if you are three friends).

Single Occupancy options: We have 6 single occupancy bedrooms, 5 with ensuite bathrooms and one with a shared bathroom.

Twin Occupancy options: We have 1 twin bedroom which has two single beds and a large shared bathroom with one bedroom.

About the Food

The food in Montenegro is local, seasonal, and as fresh as it gets. We use a combination of the local market, bakeries, delis and small shops for our supplies. You can expect delicious salads with the most amazing tomatoes and olives, wholesome meals to nourish and fuel your adventures, and freshly baked bread. We even sample some local sweet treats (the Baklava is amazing!) for the perfect fix after hikes.

You will enjoy brunch and a two-course evening meal while lunch will be at ‘home’ in the garden or even as a ‘packed picnic’ to take on our adventures! Of course, everything is vegetarian or vegan.

We will cater for any dietary requirements, just let us know in advance.

Sustainability
Sustainability

We are working towards reducing our carbon footprint, and here are some ways we, as a company, are doing this.

We are a 88% vegan company, 10% vegetarian and 2% fish or meat (only when staying in boutique hotels that offer these options). This makes up a huge percentage of carbon emissions that we avoid so easily because our food is still delicious, balanced and even more creative. So, thanks to you all for enjoying our healthy (mostly) plant-based meals.

The difference: Most travel companies struggle to reduce their travellers’ meat and dairy consumption, which accounts for a large portion of their carbon emissions.

We stay primarily in one location for the duration of the retreat. We have started staying in a few locations on our long haul, but it is limited to 2 or 3 locations over an 8 – 10 night period. Staying in one place means low carbon emissions because we aren’t burning fuel to get around.

The difference: Other adventure travel companies move around every two days, using alot of petrol in vehicles for sometimes only 1 or 2 people.

Our activities are low-impact—yoga, hiking, surfing, skiing/boarding, whitewater rafting, SUP, and kayaking are all very low-carbon activities, in fact, zero-carbon (except skiing/snowboarding due to the ski lifts, which is also low). These activities are included in the price we measure. The carbon may increase with travel to and from these activities in vehicles.

The difference: Other travel companies can include high-carbon activities in the price, such as jet skiing, quad biking, and jeep driving, which increases their carbon footprint.

We run more than half of our retreats and holidays in the UK; these are very low-carbon holidays.

We currently don’t measure our guests’ travel as part of our carbon output because our guests don’t only come from the UK, so it is hard for us to predict this. We also don’t include travel in the holiday price, which is not part of our calculations. We know that we provide these holidays, so we are looking to include this carbon measurement in the future so we are investigating how we can reduce this.

The carbon measurements at the top of the page with the icons are per person for the whole retreat.

Ultra-low-carbon holidays

These holidays are below 200 kg per person, and our UK retreats are below 100 or even 70 kg, so these are great adventures for low carbon breaks.

Ski holidays are actually low in carbon!

In France, many ski resorts are turning to green energy to power the lifts. If you eat low in meat and dairy while you’re there and hire your ski equipment, this makes your trip as low-carbon as possible.

How can you help?

There are ways that you can help reduce your carbon when coming on our retreats and holidays:

Travel by train, try slow travel across Europe and the UK.
If travelling abroad to Europe or further afield, choose carbon capture schemes, check out Ecologi. Offsetting is not the best thing to do these days, but try carbon capture where you pay for carbon to be absorbed into the environment.
Car share UK – we recommend when guests travel by train to arrive and depart at the same time to taxi share – which helps keep costs and carbon emissions down. Why not consider car share, too? Most guests who drive come alone or with a friend; we have WhatsApp groups that, if you like, you can see who is driving from your area and enjoy getting to know each other on the way to the retreats, and save on your carbon emissions at the same time!

We are by no means saints when it comes to producing carbon, as a travel company we know this is very difficult to reduce. We are working to reduce our carbon output each year by measuring it and then creating plans to reduce it. We are reviewing all our venues and asking them how they can improve their carbon reduction as we don’t own any of our venues but we would like to work with them to help in any way we can. We want to be transparent with this, so please get in touch for more information. As we change things, we will update the website.

Beautiful Montenegro

A Montenegro Wellness Retreat Like No Other

Low deposit and monthly payment plan options available now.

Explore the untouched beauty of this extraordinary country on our yoga & wellness retreat Montenegro experience. Nestled between Croatia to the north, Serbia to the east, and Albania to the south, Montenegro offers an incredibly diverse landscape that makes it perfect for both relaxation and exploration.

With its shimmering Adriatic coastline and dramatic mountain backdrops, yoga in Montenegro feels like nowhere else in Europe. Much like Madeira or Tenerife, the mountains roll straight into the sea, creating breath taking cliffs, hidden coves, and panoramic views that elevate every Montenegro yoga retreat into something truly unforgettable.

Close to the Croatian border lies the stunning Bay of Kotor, often referred to as the Montenegro fjords. Here, the medieval walled city of Koto, a UNESCO World Heritage Site offers a magical setting reminiscent of Dubrovnik, with its stone streets, historic charm, and coastal beauty. It’s the perfect addition to your retreat Montenegro experience.

Along the coastline, you’ll find dramatic contrasts: towering cliffs in the north and golden sandy beaches in the south. For those seeking Montenegro adventure holidays, the country delivers in every direction. Wind through rugged mountain roads toward Lake Skadar, where Montenegro meets Albania, or head inland to the Durmitor Mountains, where hiking in summer and skiing in winter make this a true year round destination. It’s no wonder adventure holiday Montenegro experiences are becoming increasingly popular.
