Cristiano & Matilde
Cristiano and Matilde are partners in life, practice, and teaching, offering retreats that feel both deeply considered and refreshingly human. Their shared approach is rooted in care, presence, and the belief that yoga extends far beyond the mat.
Their teaching balances structure with softness. Cristiano’s classes are grounded in anatomy, biomechanics, and Yoga Therapy, offering clear guidance, intelligent sequencing, and adaptations that support injuries or limitations. Strength, discipline, and precision are always held with patience and kindness. Matilde brings a lighter, playful energy, weaving together Ashtanga with elements of Iyengar, Sattva, Vinyasa, and Yin to create inclusive, creative practices that meet each student where they are.
Cristiano’s yoga journey began in 2010 while recovering from health issues, discovering firsthand the therapeutic power of consistent practice. Teaching emerged organically in 2016, leading to formal certification in 2018 and continued study through Yoga Therapy and advanced trainings. In 2023, with Matilde by his side, he founded Cristiano Yoga School.
Matilde arrived first as a student, then devoted herself fully to practice, philosophy, and daily Mysore. Certified in Asturias Yoga School, she now teaches and assists with a fresh, adaptive approach shaped by curiosity, humility, and joy.
