Latest update April 13th 2021:

Safe retreats mean everyone doing their bit! The latest developments in the pandemic mean lateral flow tests are being available to everyone.  As a result, we have decided to ask that everyone take a lateral flow test 5 days prior to coming on the retreat. That way, if it comes back positive you have time to get a PCR test to confirm a positive test result. Furthermore, if it comes back negative we ask that you start to limit the number of people you see prior to the retreat and take another test the day before your retreat starts. That way we can attempt to create covid free retreats which mean, safe retreats!

We do the hard work for you

We have health and safety measures in a way that won’t detract away from being on a retreat.  Your retreat hosts ensure you feel you can relax and get away from the real world for a while. Don’t worry we won’t make you wear full protective bodysuits!

To ensure safe retreats, we have partnered with a company of experts and consultants to manage our health and safety and risk assessments. This way, we make sure we are 100% legally compliant to protect you, our retreat teams and our venues to the best of our abilities.

Our Safe Retreats policy not only will we have the highest standards in this area, but we also now include free certificated training courses for our retreats teams. These can be used as CPD in coronavirus social distancing and hygiene, health and safety, first aid, food hygiene,

risk assessment and many more! Rest assured, all of our teams will have completed these courses prior to working on our retreats. Our operations are standardised to create Safe Retreats on each and every one of our yoga escapes.

We have an up to date health and safety policy that will also include our coronavirus safety measures.

Meanwhile, prior to each retreat, we will share with our guests our latest health and safety measures in reaction to the government guidelines for coronavirus at that time. We are legally compliant and can reassure you that you are being taken care of to the highest standards. That way, you can focus on relaxing, letting go and having fun on your yoga retreat!

Please note: The information here are guidelines that are subject to change, according to the fast pace of change that the pandemic moves at.

FAQ's

We are reviewing our health and safety policies and working with our venues and will be implementing new minimum standards that prioritise hygiene. All our retreats will undergo a comprehensive risk assessment and audit before we reopen and all retreat teams will be required to complete COVID-19 health and safety training. We are also putting additional measures in place, in line with government health advice and with global health authorities, to ensure that we maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene.

As we resume our retreats we will continue to be guided by foreign travel and health advice from government authorities and other reputable authorities like the FCO and the World Health Organization.

As responsible retreaters, anyone who chooses to retreat with us has a duty of care to themselves and the people around them. We ask that all our retreaters comply with local regulations and laws, as well as our own health and safety guidelines, to ensure that everyone can enjoy their retreat while remaining well.

As of spring 2021 lateral flow testing is available to everyone. With the latest developments in the pandemic and lateral flow tests being available to everyone, we have decided to ask that everyone take a lateral flow test 5 days prior to coming on the retreat, so that if it comes back positive you have time to get a PCR test to confirm a positive test result. If it comes back negative we ask that you start to limit the number of people you see prior to the retreat and take another test the day before your retreat starts. That way we can attempt to create covid free retreats.

We will be taking temperatures on arrival and each day to make sure everyone is safe and well.

For foreign yoga holidays, we will require a negative PCR test taken 72 hours prior to the flight.

If you are unwell prior to travelling, please stay at home and contact us to make alternative arrangements. Please refer to our Booking Conditions for more details on our refund policy.

The travel insurance industry is currently still working out its response to the COVID-19 pandemic. At this time travel insurance is unlikely to cover illnesses related to COVID-19, but always check with your individual provider. We will provide updates to you as new information becomes available.

If you or someone else on your trip has symptoms of COVID-19 while on retreat with us, we will assist you to get medical care. We will follow the advice of local health authorities when abroad or in the UK on whether a COVID-19 test is required, whether there is a need to self-isolate or quarantine or whether there is a risk to other guests on the retreat. Should COVID-19 be confirmed, full health and safety protocols will be enacted, including informing local health authorities, informing the group of the potential exposure, and sanitation protocols such as deep cleaning and disinfecting accommodation and transport. Please note that while we will assist to ensure that you get all the help and support you require, all expenses for testing, treatment or self-isolation will need to be covered by you.

If you are unable to continue your yoga holiday with us due to a suspected or confirmed case of COVID-19 we can offer you a credit for the unused days of your trip.

Globally, we continue to follow the advice of the World Health Organization regarding wearing masks. The current advice is that if you are healthy, you only need to wear a mask if you are taking care of a person with COVID-19 or in a destination with widespread community transmission when physical distancing is difficult.

In the UK for our weekend retreats follow the guidelines above.

However, in some destinations, it may be compulsory to wear a mask in public or in certain places such as on some airlines. In these cases, we will follow the requirements of local health authorities. Check the airline and foreign travel advice for your destination on whether wearing a mask is required, as you will need to source your own from home if it is a requirement. Familiarise yourself with how to safely wear, handle and dispose of masks if wearing them when travelling. While we have masks as part of first aid kits, we are unable to provide masks for daily use for guests.

We are working with our venues to provide hand sanitiser and we recommend bringing your own for peace of mind.

Our retreats usually have more twin shared room options than single options. We have decided to reduce numbers on our retreats whilst we are still emerging from the pandemic and we are offering many more single-room options. We are encouraging people to bring a friend so that you can share a room with someone you know and keep the cost down if you don't want to pay extra for a single room. You can also let us know that you are happy to share a room with someone you don't know and with lateral flow testing and everyone coming on the retreat with negative test results sharing with a stranger may be something our guests are comfortable with again.

With reduced numbers on the retreat, we can allow for better social distancing in the yoga shala. We will also practise yoga outside if it is warm enough to do so and have windows open for air circulation if warm enough.

To create safe retreats, we are having to change the way we do things to enable a safe return in line with coronavirus safety measures –
here are some guidelines of what we will do.
