Grace Frain
Grace is a self-taught freelance chef and baker based in Bristol with over 9 years of experience in cooking and baking for a whole range of guests. She has worked in kitchens in the UK and America, both leading the team and creating menus for cafes. Grace specialises in vegan and vegetarian food inspired by the seasons whilst sourcing as many local ingredients and foraging as much as possible. She has also completed a Vegan Nutrition Diploma so that she understands how the food she makes is benefiting you and balances with the activities you do on a retreat. Grace has hosted supper clubs, brunch clubs, hen dos and catered for retreats between 3-7 days and 12-30 guests 3 meals a day both in the UK and Europe.
Grace especially loves baking cakes and breads which will always feature on her retreat menus for lunches or afternoon snacks to welcome you back from your walk. Being vegan for over 11 years has allowed Grace to perfect a number of different bakes with carrot cake being a consistent favourite among family and friends, closely followed by her brownies. Grace began her pandemic fundraising business, ‘Brownies Beyond Borders’, back in 2020 posting brownies all across the UK, some making it as far and Germany and Australia. She now caters for events across Bristol and the UK.
There is nothing Grace loves more than making people happy with food.
