Nicky Dye

Nicky is a calm and happy yoga and qigong guide who encourages people to soften, breathe and notice how they feel. She is deeply inspired by Eastern wisdom and movement practices, and seasonal self care practices, and loves to share her knowledge and good vibes with people so that they can drop the stress and find life easier. In her classes, everyone is welcome to be, just as they are.

Nicky is an advanced Strala Yoga guide, therapeutic yoga specialist, and Shiatsu practitioner who has been teaching for over 10 years and practising yoga since the mid-90s. A 1000 hour trained teacher, Nicky studied in New York, Berlin, Geneva, and London with Tara Stiles and Michael Taylor, founders of Strala, and Tiffany Cruickshank, founder of Yoga Medicine.

On retreat, she guides dynamic seasonal strala yoga & qigong flows in the morning to energise, and a combo of yin, restorative, myofascial release, and yoga nidra meditation in the evening to calm and rejuvenate.

Health and happiness have always been central to Nicky’s world, and she enjoyed careers as a tennis coach, worldwide cabin crew, and project manager before pausing for a year in Paris. During that time, she chose to follow her heart and become a yoga guide. Strala introduced her to tai chi, qigong, shiatsu and Chinese Medicine theory, and the rest is history!

Nicky loves hosting retreats because they offer a necessary pause from busy lives and provide a perfect nest for deep rest and genuine transformation. It’s so important to slow down, take stock, and just be, together. She enjoys seeing new friendships naturally arise through shared experiences, fresh air, and nourishing food. She is thrilled to be collaborating with Adventure Yogi, as their warm, welcoming vibes and passion for movement, nature and travel perfectly align with her own values.

Treatments

Shiatsu – 60 mins

Shiatsu is a deeply relaxing, fully clothed bodywork that takes place on a comfortable futon. It’s often described as being like acupuncture without the needles, using gentle pressure, stretches, and movement to restore your body’s energy flow.

Nicky is a certified Shiatsu Practitioner who draws on Five Element Theory to uncover the root cause of any disharmony, leaving you with a profound sense of balance and well-being.  When your qi (vital energy) flows freely throughout the body, pain or dis-ease dissipates naturally.

She studied with Sam Berlind (Strala), BSY and Carola Beresford-Cooke.

Sleep / Health Consultation – 60 mins

As a certified therapeutic yoga specialist, sleep recovery teacher and Shiatsu Practitioner, Nicky offers a comprehensive consultation drawing on the wisdom of Chinese Medicine and Ayurveda. Expect to uncover key insights and practical tools, tailored to you and your lifestyle.
