Tucked away in the High Weald, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, our East Sussex retreat venue offers a peaceful setting for yoga and wellness retreats just under 1 hour by train from London. Surrounded by hills and woodland, it’s the perfect place to reconnect with nature, and enjoy the quiet beauty of the countryside.
Located near the historic village of Mayfield, this 12-acre private estate is a hidden gem for retreats in Sussex. The grounds are home to free-roaming alpacas, sheep, chickens, and peacocks. With gardens and cosy fire pits, the setting is the perfect place to reset during the quieter winter months.
The accommodation includes a mix of restored barns, eco-lodges, and farmhouse rooms. There are indoor and outdoor areas, including a large yoga barn and infrared sauna.
On our New Year yoga retreat this East Sussex venue provides the ideal setting. Walk through the surrounding countryside, time in the sauna, nourishing meals, and space to reflect make it one of the most peaceful retreat locations.

Absolutely! Attending a Yoga Retreat in Sussex alone is a wonderful way to embark on a personal journey of self-discovery and inner exploration. Many retreat participants choose to attend alone, providing an opportunity for introspection, self-care, and connecting with like-minded individuals in a supportive and inclusive environment. The retreat offers a welcoming space for individuals seeking solitude, personal growth, or the chance to forge new friendships.
It is recommended to bring comfortable yoga attire suitable for practice, including yoga pants, tops, and layers. Don't forget your swim wear for the sauna. As the retreat is located in the countryside, sturdy walking shoes or boots are advised for outdoor exploration and walks. Additionally, pack essentials such as a refillable water bottle, toiletries, and any personal items necessary for your comfort. Don't forget to bring suitable clothing for the weather, including rain gear, as well as any medications or personal items you may require. Lastly, bring an open mind, a willingness to connect with nature and fellow retreat participants, and a sense of curiosity and readiness for a transformative experience in the stunning the Sussex landscape.
