September is a beautiful time to go to Sardinia. The crowds are gone and the beaches are empty. Situated in the north of the Island enjoy stunning beaches and turquoise waters on this relaxing yoga holiday.

Join us in September for a week of sun, sand, turquoise sea and Italian culture and hospitality on our yoga holiday in Sardinia. Staying on the north coast just west of the pretty town of Santa Teresa Di Gallura and about 1.5 hours from Olbia and very close to the stunning Islands of the Maddalena archipelago, with turquoise waters that are spellbinding, which you will visit by sailboat on this week’s adventure.  Your beautiful villa is situated on the cliffs right next to the Mediterranean sea with stunning expansive views.

On this 6-night, 7-day yoga holiday in Sardinia is creating time for you to relax in the late summer sunshine. September is one of the best times to be in Sardinia; the sun is not as hot and the crowds that pack the beaches in July and August have gone home and it is quiet again and so you have the beaches to yourself.

We have an outdoor swimming pool with sun loungers or a 10-minute walk away is the closest sandy beach with a little bay 150m in front of the villa if you fancy a quick dip nearby. With jaw-dropping turquoise waters all around, you will feel like you’ve been transported to the Caribbean.

You can relax by the pool or on the beach and unwind. We will take you to Santa Teresa, Capo Testa, a walk along the coastline in the local area and enjoy a day trip on a boat around the Maddalena islands which is a must-do.

Either side of all the activities during the day there will, of course, be yoga. Experience this in the variety of outdoor and indoor spaces.

Your food will be made by our local Sardinian chef and you will enjoy breakfast, brunch and evening meals. The food will be vegetarian and we can offer vegan and other dietary requirements also.

About the yoga

Morning yoga on your springtime yoga holiday Sardinia:

Morning yoga will be on our shady decking. To begin, wake up early and the practice will begin as a gentle awakening, building up to more dynamic postures. Soon, you will find you can settle into meditation quicker than before, that silence is something to be cherished. Feel energised and refreshed and ready for your day in the sun.

Evening yoga on your springtime yoga holiday Sardinia:

The afternoon yoga will be held in another of the many outdoor spaces that we have on offer. We will also use our indoor space for a few evenings.  Our evenings are for Yin to unwind from the activities of the day before settling into a more restorative practice, yoga Nidra, and guided meditation.

About the food

On this yoga holiday Sardinia, you will be catered for by our local friendly Italian chef who will create a delicious mix of healthy, well-balanced Mediterranean meals for the evening and brunches will be wholesome. You can enjoy breakfast as well as pre-yoga and fruit and teas and coffee is available throughout the day.

All meals can be vegan and lactose or gluten-free on request.

Beautiful Sardinia

Sardinia is a beautiful Island in the Mediterranean just south of Corsica and north of Sicily famed for its pristine beaches and white sand. We are situated in the northeast corner of the Island and on the north coast, near Capo Testa and the vibrant town of Santa Teresa Di Gallura. We are in the region of Gallura which is known for its local pastries, wines and cheeses, history and culture. Gallura means ‘stony’ and this area has a lot of granite rocks that have been weathered and shaped by the elements to make particular shapes.

We are also located near the Archipelago Della Maddelena Islands, where one of the areas to swim is called ‘La Piscina’ which means the swimming pool because of its turquoise colour. A day on a boat around these islands is a must-do.

This corner of Sardinia is protected and so no building is allowed 10 km from the coast and so it has remained the same for over 30 years. Be prepared to be wowed by the waters, the beaches and the local Sardinian hospitality.

Itinerary

Our itinerary for our week-long yoga holiday Sardinia is a combination of total relaxation and activity. You can choose to be as active or relaxed as you wish.  Each day is sandwiched with morning and evening yoga.

You will be picked up by our transfer from Olbia airport and the evening will be relaxed, settling into the villa, a team talk of the week ahead and dinner.
