FAQ's for the Brecon Beacons

Where is the nearest train station?

The nearest train station is Hereford which is 35 minutes drive away. You can find out about travel if you go to the retreat date page on our website and scroll down to the 'how to get there' section.

Are there hairdryers at the venue?

There are a few hairdryers but we recommend bringing one with you if you.

How long are the hikes and what level are they?

The hikes usually start around 11am and finish around 4pm, group level permitting. The level of these hikes is intermediate. If you are new to hiking we suggest getting out there and building up strength before joining us.

Do I need hiking boots and all weather gear?

A big fat yes! Hiking boots are essential and not brand new ones...wear them first before embarking on a long hike. Bring a backpack to carry wet weather gear, a jacket and trousers and have a few different length layers on so you can cool down and warm up quickly.

Do I need to bring a yoga mat?

This venue is not a designated yoga venue so we ask that you bring your own mat and equipment if you use anything else. A blanket is always highly recommended for savasana to enjoy it all the more.
